I suppose we should start with features that are missing from this TV; there are none. This LCD HDTV is so smart you might find yourself actually talking to it. Where to start? Every available input and output port known to man, Internet connectivity through Ethernet, Yahoo widgets, and it also comes with its own USB Flash drive. Oh, and it even has Samsung’s really cool Red Touch of Color that produces a warm and attractive red ambient light, which gives the viewing experience a warmer, more pleasant appeal. In short, if this TV doesn’t have it – then you don’t need it.
240Hz technology is not used in this television, but you will not be able to figure out any difference. | Forget about action blurring or ghosting; rather the refresh and redraw rates and image tracing are excellent. The LCD features flawless gaming experience, similar to that of a high-end computer; movie watching experience is also unmatched.
The screen of the TV is shiny so the placement must be made properly; incase it is kept near windows, curtain must be drawn or else there will be disturbing reflections. The reflection is less with the LCD that comes with matte finish, but the richness and intensity of color is not like a glossy screen. The trade-off is probably the only negative aspect of this television.
The sound from this TV is quite remarkable; and you don’t really need an external audio system to enjoy a theater like experience. The remote control — well it’s like all Samsung remote control units; its flawless: sturdy, easy to navigate and well thought out.
Good thing comes with a cost and this Samsung TV is also not inexpensive, but it provides immense value and the price seems ok considering the features it provides. If you purchase Samsung LN46B650, you will definitely be the proud owner of a superior high definition LCD TV.
