Introduction Those who love home theaters will definitely adore Samsung LN37B550 HDTV because of its supremacy in terms of quality. Whether it is features or price, this Samsung television marks its excellence in both aspects. There is so much of hype associated with this TV, lets find out why.
Features / Performance Whether it is the performance or the features of this television, Samsung LN37B550 is hard to beat in both these sections; as far as 37 inches TVs are concerned. The Samsung LN37B550 is brilliant in every respective field, whether it is the contrast ratio, response time, color display, clarity and depth. In terms of performance there is no complaint; no blurring or ghosting gives amazing quality of picture. In fact, the TV features all the features that you can expect in a television of this size. With diverse options for establishing connectivity, it can work with any peripheral toy. Therefore, I havent found any short comings in terms of performance.
But a few thoughts There is absolutely no doubt that this unit is fabulous. In spite of all those features, there are still aspects that might restrict people from buying it. I know it sounds odd. But, consider the reasons that I have to say.
This television is simply too expensive, when you consider the fact that Samsung offers 720p 37 inch (and 42 inch) LCD models, that offer comparable features and performance, at much lower prices. If youve read even a few of my reviews, then you know my stance on 1080p resolution technology. I find 1080P to be utterly useless in smaller sized LCD televisions (and plasma TVs too in fact); you just cant tell the difference between 720p and 1080p picture quality on a 37 inch television. If you can, then your eyes are not of this world; moreover I would chalk it up to wishful thinking more than objective viewing.
If I consider the said facts, it is hard for me to find a price difference of more than $300 between the 720p and 1080p resolution versions. But, if you are pleased to pay more to just get 1080p for a 37 inch TV, then you are welcome to buy this unit.
